Welcome to the Mills PTA Website
The Mills PTA website is updated weekly with current information and events around Mills. The goal is to have the Mills PTA website be a single source of information to our Mills families.
Talk about some awesome weather!! Just love these cool days and late nights! Be sure to enjoy the outdoors with the kiddos, the falling leaves, candy corn, baking something that smells of pumpkin and spice….enjoy it all!!
This week we want to remind everyone of a couple of events coming up and also that there will be no Mills Messenger distributed until Dec. 7th so that our hard-working Mills communications committee members can enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday with their families. To keep up to date, check out the Mills PTA website. You can find things like school lunch menus, activities calendar, forms, the Online Weekly Folder, archives, and well what’s in the Top News too! Scroll down to the bottom of any page and click on the blue Facebook logo to join the conversation on the Joe Dan Mills Elementary Parents and Community Facebook page.
Look what’s coming to Mills!!
· Coats for Kids: Giving back to our community is always special at Mills. Be on the lookout for the box in the school lobby, we’ll be collecting new and gently used coats again and if you would like to help with this community project, please contact Stephanie Nava.
· Thanksgiving Sing-a-long: Save the date, Nov. 25th, you don’t want to miss Mills’ annual sing-a-long. So entertaining for the kids and the adults too!
· Turkey Trot Box Top Contest: Start clipping and don’t forget to raid your relative’s cabinets for those box tops. Stay tuned for more information. Box Top Collection Sheet
· Barnes and Nobles Book Fair: Dec. 5th – 7th. Another student favorite and a great way to give back to Mills. Plus, the teachers love being a part of this event!! Look for more details soon.
A very special thank you to all of our Mills parents for contributing to the Mills staff birthday celebration each month! Mills staff really do appreciate the treats and making them feel so special, couldn’t do it without you…THANKS! If you have a favorite baked treat or a dessert that you would like to share OR if you would like to help with the upcoming Holiday Staff Appreciation event in December please contact Rena Alderson. I’d also like to mention the Kendra Scott Spirit Night, sheer fun & joy for those who attended!! Thank you parents and friends for your purchases and Sylvia Laughlin, Spirit Chair for coordinating this PTA affair!
Finally, from your loyal Mills Mountain Lion PTA officers, board and committee members, we wish you all have a safe and most wonderful Thanksgiving holiday!
We are grateful for YOU!
