JOIN THE ROARING READERS TEAM!
The Mills Roaring Reading Progam is an all-volunteer early reading intervention program that helps Kindergarteners, 1st graders and 2nd graders practice their pre-reading and reading skills in a positive, small group environment.
WHAT DO WE DO?
As with any sport or activity, practice makes perfect! The job of our Roaring Reader Coaches is to support teacher efforts and provide that little extra boost everyone needs from time to time.
Our curriculum-based, step-by-step program is designed by grade level. We provide training to all coaches. You will leave every session knowing you helped a child attain their goal in reading, and that you made a positive impact on their lives.
HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED?
Last year over 80 dedicated Roaring Readers Coaches worked with approximately 110 students experience reading success! 85% of volunteers do not even have a child in the reading program. They volunteer because they care about students at our school and in our community.
