Hello Mills' Parents!
I hope you and your family had a restful and fun Labor Day!
I was so glad to meet so many of you during last week's Volunteer Roundup before the 3-5 grade Back to school Night. I won't be at this Tuesday's Volunteer Roundup, but we'll have plenty of PTA officers, board members and other volunteers. We'd love to add you to our ranks, because we really need more help! Come see us at 5:30-6:30 p.m.; the gym is air conditioned, and the halls are not.
This Wednesday, be sure to take your family to Craig O's Pizza and Pasta (in the Sam's shopping center on 290) for supper. The restaurant donates 10 percent of its nightly receipts from that evening to the school. The food is great, you'll probably see more than a few of your fellow Mills families, and it directly helps our school. Talk about a win-win-win!
Thursday night, at 6:30 p.m., Pack 61 leaders and parents will gather in the cafeteria for an information and recruitment night. All boys in grades 1st-5th are invited to attend to learn more about the fun they can have as Cub Scouts! Contact Cubmaster(and 4th grade parent) Ken Manceaux for more information at

On Friday, you can enjoy a night out on the town and your children can have fun with some of their classmates and friends during the Mills' Parents Night Out and Kids Fun Night from 6:30-9p.m. The cost is $10 per child.
And finally, please write down September 20th on your calendar -- the first PTA meeting of the year. We're working hard on a special surprise program. I hope to announce the positve result of our efforts next week.
