Mills PTA Committees
STAFF APPRECIATION
Coordinates appreciation events for the teachers, coordinates birthday celebrations, and handles Teacher Appreciation Week.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH
Plans and implements the PTA’s community service projects, including (but not limited to!) Coats for Kids, and Odom Holiday Giving.
PROJECTS AND GOALS
Manages requests from the school and staff for funding or to purchase specific items for certain projects and goals.
MEMBERSHIP
Responsible for recruiting and helping members understand the benefits. Creates campaign, collects dues keep records.
LANDSCAPING
Better known as The Dirt Club, this group maintains the school grounds to keep the the students and staff safe and Mills beautiful!
WAYS AND MEANS
Research, promote and manage ways to earn free money for Mills with Randalls, Box Tops and other misc. education drives.
ARTS IN EDUCATION
Manages the Reflections Art Contest, an amazing program that increases community awareness of the importance of arts in education.
SPIRIT
Plans and advertises for Spirit Nights, organizes spirit wear sales and distribution, organizes chalk walks, and orders the school yard signs.
COMMUNICATIONS & PUBLICATION
Market and advocate for the PTA. Inform the community about events and meetings via social media, website updates and messenger emails.
VOLUNTEER
Recruit and manage on-call general volunteers and work with other committee members when help is needed.
GRANT WRITER
Research, draft and submit proposals that help the PTA receive grant funding. Ensures that Mills is eligible for funding and that our goals align with the grant.
